TLE 001® – My First Engineering Blocks

TLE 001® is an early-years hands-on construction course by The Little Engineer®, specially designed for Kindergarten learners to discover the joy of building, creating, and learning through play.

Using colorful, child-friendly blocks, learners progress from creating simple 2D patterns and shapes to constructing 3D models, developing an early understanding of how individual pieces can be connected and transformed into recognizable objects.

The course uses familiar themes from the child's world—including Animals, Things, Human Beings, and Plants—to make construction meaningful, engaging, and age appropriate.

From Imagination to 3D Creation

The learning progression should be a major part of the positioning:

Observe → Recognize → Connect → Build → Create

and, importantly:

2D Shapes → Patterns → Simple Structures → 3D Models → Creative Building

This is what makes TLE 001® much more than simply “playing with blocks.” It is the child's first structured step into engineering thinking.

As you share the remaining content, I’ll identify the exact models and learning objectives and then build sections for What Learners Explore, What They Develop, the four modules/themes, and the connection to TLE 101®.

I also think the progression on the website should eventually begin:

TLE 001® — Early Construction & 2D/3D Thinking → TLE 101® — Construction & Engineering Foundations → TLE 201® — Automated Simple Machines → TLE 301® — Robotics & Sensors → ...

That gives TLE Academy a genuine learning journey starting from KG and continuing toward advanced engineering, robotics, coding, and AI.
