TLE 100-4

TLE 100-4® – Multi-Purpose Smart Car
Build. Code. Sense. Drive.

Arduino Platform | C Language Coding | Sensors • Bluetooth • Autonomous Driving

TLE 100-4® – Multi-Purpose Smart Car is a hands-on robotics and coding course by The Little Engineer® that introduces learners to Arduino programming, sensors, motor control, wireless communication, and autonomous robotic behavior.

Learners build and program a versatile robotic car capable of performing several intelligent functions, including obstacle avoidance, following, ultrasonic following, IR remote control, Bluetooth control, and facial emoticon display.

The car requires no soldering, making it accessible for learners to assemble while still providing a strong introduction to real robotic hardware and programming.

From Coding to Autonomous Movement

Learners discover how a mobile robot combines sensors, programming, motors, and communication to interact with its environment.

The learning journey follows:

Build → Code → Sense → Decide → Move → Improve

At the heart of the course is the fundamental robotics process:

Sensor Input → Program → Decision → Motor Action

What Will Learners Explore?
Arduino IDE and basic C language programming
Robot construction and mechanical assembly
Motors and movement control
Dual H-bridge motor driving
Ultrasonic distance sensing
Obstacle detection and avoidance
Object-following behavior
Ultrasonic following
Infrared remote control
Bluetooth communication
Smartphone App control
Facial emoticon display
Autonomous robotic behavior
Testing, debugging and improving code
Expanding the robot with additional sensors and modules
Multiple Ways to Control the Robot

TLE 100-4® allows learners to experience the difference between remote-controlled and autonomous robotics.

The Smart Car can be controlled through an IR remote, as well as through Bluetooth using compatible iOS and Android devices. Learners then progress toward programming the robot to use sensor information and make its own movement decisions.

This creates a clear progression:

Remote Control → Sensor Control → Autonomous Behavior

Learn Through Robotics Challenges

Rather than simply making the car move, learners experiment with different behaviors and challenges.

They discover how the ultrasonic sensor can detect objects from 2 cm to 400 cm, how programs can change the robot's direction when an obstacle is detected, and how sensor information can be used to create following behaviors.

The robot can also display facial emoticons, adding an interactive and creative dimension to the programming experience.

What Will Learners Develop?

Learners strengthen skills in C language coding, Arduino programming, robotics, sensor integration, motor control, Bluetooth communication, computational thinking, debugging, logical reasoning, and engineering problem-solving.

The expandable hardware also encourages learners to move beyond the standard activities by integrating additional sensors and modules as their skills develop.

Ideal for Young Robotics Innovators

TLE 100-4® is suitable for learners interested in Robotics, Arduino, Coding, Electronics, Engineering, and Autonomous Systems.

It provides an excellent bridge from basic coding into physical computing, where learners can immediately see how their programs affect a real moving robot.

Build the Car. Code the Behavior. Make It Autonomous.
