TLE 201

# TLE 201® – Automated Simple Machines

### Build. Power. Control. Discover Machines in Motion.

**Ages 6–10 | Hands-On STEM Learning | Automated Construction & Engineering**

**TLE 201® – Automated Simple Machines** is a hands-on engineering course by **The Little Engineer®**, designed for young learners aged **6 to 10** who are ready to take construction to the next level.

Children build exciting models inspired by **real-life machines**, such as an electric mixer, conveyor, walking machine, scissor lift, and more. Using smart construction bricks, motors, and a controller, they discover how mechanical structures can be powered and brought to life.

### From Construction to Automation

TLE 201® introduces children to the fascinating world of **power transmission and automated mechanisms**.

Through a series of progressive projects, learners explore how motion and power are transferred using:

* Gears and gear systems
* Rack and pinion mechanisms
* Worm and worm gears
* Pulleys
* Belts
* Screws
* Crank-link mechanisms
* Motors and mechanical movement

Rather than simply building a model, children investigate **how it works, what makes it move, and how changing a mechanism can change its behavior**.

### Build It. Make It Move.

A key step in the TLE 201® journey is the introduction of a **controller**, allowing learners to control the actions and movement of the models they construct.

This helps children make the connection between **structure, mechanism, power, movement, and control**—important foundations for their future journey into robotics and technology.

### What Will Your Child Develop?

Through hands-on building, experimentation, and challenges, children strengthen their:

* Engineering and mechanical understanding
* Knowledge of power and motion transmission
* Construction and design skills
* Understanding of motors and controllers
* Logical and critical thinking
* Problem-solving skills
* Spatial awareness
* Creativity and innovation
* Confidence in working with technology

### Engineering Comes to Life

TLE 201® transforms engineering concepts into something children can **see, touch, build, test, and understand**.

By creating familiar machines and exploring the mechanisms behind them, learners begin to understand how engineering works in the world around them while developing a strong foundation for more advanced robotics and STEM learning.

**TLE 201® — Build the machine. Power the mechanism. Bring engineering to life.**

*Part of the TLE Academy learning pathway by The Little Engineer®.*

**Recommended Age:** 6–10 years
