TLE 601® – Sustainable Countries
Learn. Build. Code. Sustain.
Ages 12+ | 30 Lessons | Renewable Energy • Robotics • Coding • Sustainability
TLE 601® – Sustainable Countries is an interdisciplinary STEM course by The Little Engineer® and The Lifetime Education Foundation®, designed for learners aged 12+.
The course uniquely blends renewable energy, sustainability, robotics, and programming, helping learners understand global environmental challenges while designing and programming technological solutions for a more sustainable future.
The program can be adapted to different countries, with versions available for Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, UAE, Philippines, Nigeria, Pakistan, Qatar, New Jersey (USA), and the UK, connecting sustainability concepts to each country's context.
From Sustainability to Smart Solutions
Across 30 progressive lessons, learners explore:
Climate & Sustainability
Global warming • Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) • Environmental challenges
Renewable Energy
Wind Energy • Solar PV • Solar Collectors • Solar Ovens • Biomass • Hydropower • Geothermal Energy • Electricity Generation
Robotics & Coding
Robot Construction • Basic Programming • Line Following • Advanced Programming • Sensors • Autonomous Missions
Learning Through Real-World Missions
Students don't just learn about sustainability—they build, program, and solve challenges.
Learners develop robotic extensions and programs to complete sustainability missions such as:
Positioning solar PV panels and solar collectors
Activating wind-energy systems
Operating a hydropower dam
Sorting waste
Solving a geothermal-energy mission
Navigating a country-themed sustainability map
The course concludes with a Sustainable Country Competition, where learners combine their knowledge of renewable energy, robotics, engineering, and coding to complete a series of missions.
What Will Learners Develop?
Learners strengthen skills in renewable energy, robotics, coding, environmental awareness, engineering design, computational thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and innovation.
They also discover an important connection:
Understand the Challenge → Explore the Energy → Build the Solution → Program the Robot → Complete the Mission
Think Globally. Engineer Locally.
TLE 601® helps young people understand that sustainability is not only an environmental topic—it is also an engineering and technology challenge.
By connecting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, renewable energy, robotics, and hands-on problem-solving, learners are encouraged to imagine how technology can contribute to building smarter and more sustainable communities.
Learn Sustainability. Engineer the Solution.
